After the community vote on allowing fractions of coins in the private distribution (see Voting on Coins’ Pricing Policy), the minimum amounts participants will be able to acquire will be as follow starting in the next distribution round:

1. 0.03125 ely instead of 1 ely, and
2. 0.03125 atum for each 3.125 elys acquired instead of 1 atum for each 100 elys.

With Ely currently priced at $657 and Atum at $65,700, this reduces the entry barrier to about $20.5 from $657 for acquiring ely and to $4,106 from $131,400 for acquiring atum. This huge drop aims to significantly diversify participant distribution and increase coin ownership decentralization. We except this will further boost the decentralization of the whole Atomflow system.

Another reason of doing so is to achieve the following two goals:

1. maintaining coins value growth without putting superficial limits on the growth, and
2. enabling more people with different financial capacities to participate in the early distribution along with the benefits associated it.

We will treat the next distribution round as a proof of concept and see how things develop from there. The next round will be announced as usual on the website, SimpleX Atomflow Community and social media.

We also had to consider whether to carry on with airdrops. For context, each airdrop is worth 0.25 ely or about $164 at current prices. This is 8 times more than the upcoming participation minimum in the private distribution. It was decided that airdrop would carry on without change until airdrops are fully distributed. The reason for this decision is simple, the amount of airdrops is significantly smaller than that of the private distribution. Also, acquiring coins in the private distribution even with receiving an airdrop will only make the positions of people holding small amounts of Ely and Atum relatively stronger. This agrees with the vision outlined above.
